The launcher loads the game in parts and for some reason some of those parts can sometimes load a lot slower then others. Just leave it running, it will likely speed up later once it finished a part, how to speed up ffxiv download pc. If I'm not mistaken, it's the launcher, it downloads slow on purpose as to avoid anything getting corrupted and what not.
Unless the connection is really flaky, corruptions while downloading should be caught on another layer that the launcher doesn't even see on the TCP layer. Meaning either wrong data or if the received data is out of order wouldn't need to be checked by the downloader and thus no throttling needed.
And even if they want to do that, wouldn't it be how to speed up ffxiv download pc effective to not throttle and then check after receiving the data?
AFAIK this is intentional as the other two said. I've been in the same situation from fiber internet to DSL. I never go above a 1. It sucks, but c'est la vie.
